Fairytale in the Mountains

I have been dreaming of my wedding day since I was six years old, so to finally have that my perfect wedding vision come to life was a dream come true. Our beautiful mountain top wedding came together better than I could have ever imagined. It was my very own fairytale come to life.

The Venue

While our path to a venue was a bit unconventional, being that our first venue burned down five months before our wedding day, the Inn at Tranquility Farm was absolutely the best venue we could have imagined. Their beautiful mountain top views, wrap around porch and chandelier filled reception space were everything I wanted and more. I loved getting ready in their spacious bridal suite, and waking up the next morning to perfect mountain top views.

Style

I wanted a classic wedding style with a fairy tale twist. Candace of Mingle Events, brought this to life with white linens, gold-rimmed plates, dark stained wood, with pink and lilac accents. The white and gold brought in the classic elements, while the stained wood, pink and lilac accents and amazing floral by Spring Vine Design brought in the fairy tale garden feel. I am allergic to roses so the florist made sure that my bouquet was allergy friendly and filled with my sorority’s flower, the white carnation. I absolutely loved my long ‘Hogwarts style” banquet tables finished off with gold rimmed plates and gold flatware. It was everything I imagined and more.

Clothing

My bridesmaids wore beautiful Amsale dresses they bought from Bella Bridesmaids in Atlanta, Georgia. I loved the beautiful purple color and the Juliet sleeves. The Men rented their suits from Men’s Warehouse and they were customized with mismatched socks and pink bowties. They also had cufflinks that had the state quarters for North Carolina and Georgia our home states. I wore a dream of a dress from The White Magnolia Bridal in Atlanta Georgia. It had a lace bodice, an English net tulle skirt that was light as air and was finished off with a custom pink sash! I finished my look with a lace-trimmed veil and my Tieks ballet flats! I felt like a princess especially after Powder Me Pretty did my make up!

Mingle Events

I honestly do not know how any one gets married without a planner, and I am so blessed that we chose Candace and the Mingle Events team for making my wedding day a dream. After my first venue burned down Candace leaped to the rescue and helped me find a new venue that was even better than the first. She ensured that every detail of my wedding came together perfectly. I literally could never have done it without her. On the day of my wedding all I had to do was show up and enjoy every moment, which is exactly what Candace ensured I did! She is AMAZING and I tell everyone that she is my hero.
